Dr. Erin Shave
Caring dentist with an excellent reputation in Family Dentistry in North Vancouver
Dr. Erin J. Shave graduated from University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry in 2005. She received Golden Key Honour Society designation. Dr. Shave has been a member of a number of study clubs including a past member of Dr. R.V. Tucker Gold Foil Study Club. For the past 9 years has been both a clinical instructor and lecturer for Local Anesthesia Certification Course for Hygienists through UBC Continuing Education department. She currently lives in North Vancouver with her husband and two young children.
Communication
I always make sure there is proper communication between patients and me at all times.
Emergent Care
I make sure I am available by email and phone as well as provide emergent treatment if absolutely necessary on weekends.
Care and Comfort
It is very important to us to dedicate time and education to each patient. Every dental diagnosis is followed by a list of treatment options and subsequently a plan. Taking time to learn about each patient, and explain the benefits and risks to each option, allows the patients to make the best decision for themselves.
We also take the time to find out what our patients need to feel comfortable with during the appointment. Sometimes that includes a simple neck pillow or additional blanket. Music or an explanation of the procedure and its relevant outcomes as we work are another few options. Communication is key, letting the patient know we are listening and aware if they need us anytime during treatment.
Our intention is to help each patient be as comfortable as they can be.

Dr. Erin Shave is committed to giving back to the community. She donates to 'Because I am a Girl' project and 'BC Cancer Foundation'.
